I am from Florida, USA. In 2023, I traveled to Japan for the first time for work. I fell in love with Japan immediately—the food, the people, and the culture captivated me. Following my initial trip, I was sent to Japan every quarter for work. During one of these trips, I decided to climb Mount Fuji, and this is where the story of this website begins. I did some research online and planned to climb Mount Fuji over the weekend. When I arrived at the 5th station, I looked for people to join me because I didn’t want to climb alone. However, I couldn’t find anyone, and when I looked online for a website to help me find climbing partners, I came up empty-handed. In the end, I climbed by myself. I ended up experiencing altitude sickness with strong headaches, and it took me 17 straight hours of almost nonstop walking.
After returning to my regular work routine, I couldn’t stop thinking about how difficult it was to find climbing partners and how dangerous a fun trip can be. This led me to take action and build this website, so others wouldn’t have to climb alone.
Our vision is to build a community of experienced climbers who can share their knowledge with those planning to climb Mount Fuji. We also strive to help climbers find hiking partners. Our mission is to help climbers stay safe and enjoy the journey.
Our team consists of my kids and my wife, who help me monitor the forum and ensure that no one is abusing the system. The users and experienced climbers are all part of our community.
